Remarks
This Event is sent when the Intel AMT subsystem recognizes incorrect configuration of a network controller which causes link loss in the enterprise network.
When EventData[1] equals to 0, the Event indicates that the user configured the network adapter improperly and caused loss of the physical link.
When EventData[1] equals to 1, the Event indicates that user tried to configure the link via adapter properties 5 times in an hour time frame, which causes loss of the physical link. This indicates that Intel AMT blocked the host from connecting to the network in order to prevent the user from continuing to tamper with the link (Intel AMT will still be able to connect to the network). The IT administrator may perform a platform reset (manually or through RCO commands) in order to restore the link to the host, after inspecting the tampering software.
When EventData[1] equals to 2, the Event indicates
that the Intel AMT was not able to maintain its Protected Clock as the user may
have removed the battery or caused a Flash wear out while the BIOS time was
changed too many times. In this case the IT administrator is advised to reset
the Flash wear out protection and set the Intel AMT time again, after inspecting
the tampering software.
This Event is sent to all Event subscribers that
specified a matching Event Filter.
This Event is logged depending on the
Event Filter configuration.
