Remote Configuration

note-icon Note:

To set up and configure the Intel AMT device, there are several tools available, such as the Intel® Setup and Configuration Software (Intel® SCS).

There are two methods of performing remote configuration. Both of these methods perform configuration securely using TLS. One method requires one touch of the platform to be configured, while the other method can be done with “zero touch”:

PSK – using a pre-shared key, Intel AMT or a program running on the platform informs a setup and configuration application that the platform is ready to be configured. See Setup and Configuration Using PSK.

PSK was removed in Intel AMT release 11.0.

PKI – using one of the root certificates prestored in the Intel AMT image, the setup and configuration application identifies itself with a certificate and performs the configuration process. See Setup and Configuration Using PKI (Remote Configuration).
