The SHV creates a validation log and adds an entry to the log each time it evaluates an SoH. The log is created in a sub-directory named Logs added to the same directory as the SHV executable. Every 24 hours, the SHV closes the log, adds the date to the file name, and creates a new log.
Log entries consist of the following fields:
• A timestamp
• The machine ID as received from the NAP system.
• Compliant: True or False
• Reason: Basis for compliance/non-compliance decision. The Policy Response pop-up provides an example of a Reason string. If a validation script is used, the reason string will be the value returned by the GetString function.
• Statement of Health: The full SoH XML.
