Detailed Description

The Hardware Assets feature enables applications to get information from the Intel AMT device about the hardware available on the platform.

The Intel AMT device maintains tables of data about the hardware assets included in the host platform. This data is gathered each time the platform is rebooted.

 Note:

If the Intel AMT device was not rebooted after it was configured for the first time, the hardware asset tables will be empty. In this case, the platform must be rebooted so that Intel AMT can gather the data.

Information  about the computer system

Information about the processors (manufacturer, model, clock speed, role, etc.)

Information about the fans (desired speed, active cooling, variable speed, etc.)

FieldReplacementUnit

Information  about the  “Field Replaceable Units” – add-in cards, such as graphics cards, including PCI ID information

MediaDevice

Information  about disks and CD/DVD drives

MemoryModule

Information about memory modules (manufacturer, capacity, etc.)

PowerSupply

Information  about the power supply

Sensor

Information about the sensors (for example, heat sensors) available on the system (type, enabled status, etc.)

VproVerificationTable

Information about the capabilities of the CPU and the chipset, PCI IDs and so on.
