On May 23rd we held another Intel AppLab at the Microsoft Technology center. We had developers from top Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare, banking, materials, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. The event was held in a large classroom style facility. Presentation from local Microsoft and Intel presenters received high marks on our survey from the participants. We also had a presentation from UX/UI specialist Dr. Jorge Toro from Integrated Computer Systems (ICS)who brought information both on the new Windows* 8 store design model as well as practical information on how best to implement this in modern applications.
Comments from participants ranged from "“Intel really needs to sponsor more of these types of events. When’s the next one?” to " overall great job - working through questions and speaking loud enough to hear." , " Overall the content was good - I learned a few things that I was not aware of in Win8"
For more details on the typical Applabs agenda please refer to my colleague Paul Steinberg’s blog here. I also wrote a blog post about the New York City AppLab for Financial Services developers.
Stay tuned for more Applabs coming virtually and to a location near you. Please contact your Intel representative for the latest information.
