Dear fellows, good afternoon. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but our company is trying to list a few products at "Product Submission". Unfortunately we are having many error messages, such as: “Error in web Service call”, “A critical error has occurred XML parsing: line 1 character 28 semicolon expected, etc…”. Does anyone experienced something like that? Is that a problem on Intel servers or in our computers? Thanks for the attention!

I just purchased Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE for Windows (Single User) software on 12/27/2012. I need a Section 508 (accessibility) VPAT form for Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE for Windows (Single User) software. However, when I go to the Intel VPAT list and down load the VPAT for Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE for Windows (Single User) software, it opens aVPAT for a different software . Can you send me a VPAT for Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE for Windows (Single User) software.

We have purchased composer_xe_2013 recently and successfully installed on the head node of our cluster. However, the directory, /opt/intel is not accssible to other compute nodes. So we decided to reinstall intel compiler to the shared disk. Unfortunately, we could not reinstall the package as we ended up with massage " Based on activation information all available components are already installed on this system." q. Quit (default) So, we had no choice, but quit the installation. My question is how could we reinstall our package? Thanks Junmei

Having asked a question and received an answer only from 1 person who just happens to be a long-time dweller of this forum/community, I started wondering what could be the reason for this forum being so slow. I am sure there are more than 3 participants in the Partner Program, and the Software Business Forum could be a really invaluable resource for many. The only thing I could think of is the fact that this forum is extremely hard to find, which got even worse after the last site redesign. Even knowing that this forum exists, I remember it took me about 10 minutes to find it after the site redesign, and every time I returned I would still have a hard time finding it until I bookmarked it. Same situation with the blogs - lots of good info that's hard to find. I'd suggest for Intel to take a look at this situation and see if something can be done about it. The easiest thing to do is to at least email all program participants to let them know of this forum's existense and purpose, as ...

Hello, I would like to deeper understand Intel's take on academic world. I personally see common interests in future mobile and even more to the embedded development including multi-core and parallel programming, because of the opened possibilities that our R&D happened to discover. We discovered very practical way to make universal open-source software development automation and are about to polish it into mainstream practical way to develop software applications and their back-end systems. We have relatively recently established ongoing dialogue with research programs and universities in Finland and are expecting more interest to raise as we start to make concrete progress. As this discovery is completely open-source and applies to all platforms and languages equally, I am wondering which party of Intel's might be best suited for contact. Both apply alike; academic world is basically all-open-source as well. Any advice appreciated. Kalle LaunialaCTO Citrus Solutions Oy
I am proposing a course on Embedded application development with ATOM processor for the undergraduate engineering students of computer science at their 6th semester level in my University. We have kits with Intel E6xx series processor which can be booted from Fedora linux. I wish tohave a list of some simple programming exercises which a student can takeup and solve on these kits using C/C++ compliersand get to know the "salient features of ATOM based processor and its usefullness in the embedded application development". I will be greatful, if someone can help me in this regard. The kits have standard USB ports , ethernet port and serial port.-Prof. Niranjan N.ChiplunkarNMAMIT, Nitte, India
Fellow Intel Android developers: I'm developing a H.264 video encoder application on a Lenovo K900 phone (Atom Z2580, Android 4.2.1), using the Android MediaCodec interface. The encoder works fine. The generated h264 elementary byte stream plays well in the VLC player, and the logcat file shows that OMX.Intel.VideoEncoder.AVC is used to do the real job. However, my decoder has a peculiar requirement that there be only one slice per frame. The generated h264 stream has two, possibly so as to facilitate parallel processing. In the MediaCodec API, I cannot find a way to configure the encoder so that each frame has only one slice. So here is my question: Is there an easy way for the app developer to configure OMX.Intel.VideoEncoder.AVC, so that each frame consists of only one slice? Thanks in advance

I'm having an issues with running my phonegap(hybrid app) in the android emulator using the haxm acceleration. When I load my app, everything loads quickly, the native splash screen shows as expected, but the UIWebView contains black boxes covering up the UIWebView content. I've attached a screen shot of what the emulator looks like. http://imgur.com/Aq1IOUk This works as expected on my windows machine with haxm. This problem also persists on testobject.com emulators that are beig run on linux machines. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks! Attempting to run the current version of HAXM on Mavericks causes a kernel panic. Is this a known issue and any idea when you are plannig on releasing a fix? I understand that the GM version of Mavericks has only just been released to devs so this is more a heads up and a request for for info rather than a complaint.
