Hi,

The environment you are using is currently not supported. Please read the release note from the following link for supported platforms and environments:

Those seem pretty tame tweaks. In my tests with the C library it compiles fine, but thanks to a few dependencies like Soap (and everything else built internally for VC9) it cannot link. So it's no-go with MinGW/GCC. Until there's a MinGW compiled version of the .lib, it's Visual Studio 2008 or nothing.

Thanks for the link. It says that it must be compiled using "Visual Studio 8" - this makes me nervous because the first error says "ISO C++ forbids declaration..." i.e. does not this mean that "Visual Studio 8" is not ISO C++ compliant?

Why should I have to pay for a "Windows OS" and "Visual Studio 8" just to run Linux? When the free version (GCC) *is* ISO C++ compliant.

Hi,

Currently applications or components development is only supported using the SDK via VS2008 under windows. This is a current limitation. Open source applications can however be developed on your own environment and using you own programs.
