    Hi,

    We are cross-building a loadable kernel module for Wind River Linux (gcc 4.4.1).  We can modprobe (load) our module, but it's marked as permanent.  We can remove the module (rmmod -f) and lsmod will no longer list it, but in that case our cleanup_module() function is not called.  We tried several possible fixes mentioned in the tech forums such as defining CC_HAVE_GOTO_ASM and USE_IMMEDIATE.  Modinfo vermagic shows:

       2.6.34.10-WR4.3.0.0_standard SMP preempt mod_unload

    Undefined symbol error "check_object_size" for loadable Kernel driver on WindRiver 4.3.

    Hi,

    We are cross-building a loadable kernel driver for a PowerPC (e500v2 P2020 CPU) platform on WindRiver 4.3.0.0 Standard Version ( Kernel Version 2.6.34.10-WR4-3.0.0_Std ). The Kernel source version is WR4.3.0.0_standard ( Kernel version 2.6.34.13-grsec-WR4.3.0.0_standard).

    Why icc-compiled executable has no debugging symbols found though with -g option

     

    Why icc-compiled executable  has no debugging symbols found as below. But gcc-compiled executable has.

     

    $ icc -g a.c

    $ gdb a.out

    Unable to Register component on iotkit dash board

    Hi ,

    I have register intel galileo on iotkit dashboard but not able to register component.

    I am using following command :
