Change default /tmp/coi_procs location? (COI_PROCS_DIR)

Hi there,

Our Intel Xeon Phi cards are in diskless compute nodes in our IBM iDataplex cluster and we have an issue where /tmp gets filled up due to files being left behind in the /tmp/coi_procs directory.   Ideally we would like that location to be determined by $TMPDIR as then they will end up on our high performance scratch GPFS filesystem with 254TB free, rather than the 1GB of RAM we allocate to /tmp on the nodes. :-)

Is that possible please?

Scalapack p*gemr2d return codes

Hi,

I'm using the MKL Scalapack functions P*RGEM2D to distribute matrices between different contexts.  Most MKL Scalapack functions take an 'info' argument to return various error information from the function.  I cannot find any intel documentation for the meaning of the returned values in 'info' for the P*RGEM2D functions.  Any help concerning the meaning of the info values would be appreciated.

Integrated Memory Controller device missing in Linux running on Xeon e5-2648L

I like to enquire on Integrated Memory Controllers on Xeon e5-2648L.
Require the information for linux edac driver implementation on my Intel Sandy Bridge for checking Memory Errors.

1)As in processor specs "xeon-e5-1600-2600-vol-2-datasheet" (Section 4.4.4.2 Pg 403),memory PCI registers for IMC controllers are documented.However,on listing the pci devices(lspci - linux command) or quering for device (Integrated Memory Controller(Bus 1,Device 15)the pci memory controller seems to be absent.

Micctl not seeing card

Having trouble getting the mic drivers working.

Running CentOS 6.4 with the 2.6.32-358.6.2.el6.x86_64 kernel (this is because we use Lustre as well).

I am able to compile and install the kernel drivers and I can load the mic module:

[root@compute-8-35 ~]# lsmod|grep mic
mic 581887 0

But:

Parallelising this algorithm for MIC: Stuck!

This is also and OpenMP question.

I'm trying to parallelise this algorithm for the MIC. It does cubic spline interpolation of SourceNum*Ni number of vectors of length Nj. So the interpolation is done along the j direction. There are Ni of these vectors - all independent. Due to a compromise of data layout elsewhere in the program I have to arrange it so that i is the least significant index, not j. This makes the algorithm a bit more complicated.

Error: Engine_connect for an offloading code - SCIF problems

A user of ours is building a pre-release version of NAMD that includes Phi offloading support but when we try and run it it claims it cannot find the Phi cards.  I've also replicated the failure with xhpl_offload_intel64.

Reason: FATAL ERROR: MIC error on Pe 0 (barcoo062 device 0): No MIC devices found.

running with OFFLOAD_REPORT=2 reveals the following:

Couldn'nt update micflash

I update the mic flash, but it failed.

Any help will be appreciated.
