Android ICS Emulator for Ubuntu* with KVM acceleration supported by Intel VT-x
Eric Adams, a Software Engineer at Intel, will show you step-by-step how to download and install on Ubuntu the latest Android ICS emulator for x86. He will show you how to install the Intel® HAXM driver, install the Intel® x86 Atom™ System Image, and configure a new x86 based Android Virtual Device. You’ll see how to enable KVM in Linux, verify that Virtualization (VT-d) is turned on in the BIOS, and how to configure GPU acceleration and keyboard support. Finally, you’ll learn how to install apps (.apk files) to the emulator through ADB and also directly from within Eclipse. Using KVM with an Intel x86 Atom System Image will provide the best Android emulator experience on Linux available to developers today.
