Release 8.1 adds the following features to Intel AMT:
• Automatic link protection feature has been added to remove the need for ISVs to manually manage the WLAN link preference between host and ME. See Link Protection.
• When gathering hardware asset information, the Media Devices table is no longer gathered at each boot flow. Excluding the Media Devices table from each boot flow allows the Intel AMT to meet Windows 8 fast boot time requirements. See Hardware Asset.
• The ability to enforce a BIOS secure boot, thereby disabling a Storage Redirection reboot, has been added. See Set SOL/IDE-R and other Boot Options
