Gary Carleton talks to the demo of Intel Parallel Studio Suite at GDC 2009 in San Francisco, CA. The demo at GDC allowed developers to look in depth at 2 of the tools within the suite: Amplifier is a performance tuning tool that shows you which part of your program are not using all their processors in the system. This allows programmers to focus on areas where they need to add more parallelism in their code. Inspector: Is used to detect hard to determine errors that occur in threaded programs. It detects both memory errors and threading errors. For more information on the Intel Parallel Studio Suite please visit: http://www.intel.com/go/parallel |
